The African Elephant

It’s Monday! Which for many people is the beginning of a massive work week, so we've decided what better way to celebrate Monday than to celebrate with the most massivest (yes, that’s not a word) land animal on Earth!? It’s the African Elephant.

Location: Africa
Diet: Herbivore
Lifespan: up to 70 years in the wild
Interesting fact: Never offer to treat an elephant to dinner at a fancy restaurant as they can consume up to 136 kilograms of food in a single day! This does make them one of the more expensive animals to keep in a zoo!

Considering how enormous these creatures are, it’s interesting to see how these creatures take shape from a new-born. Here’s a lovely video documentary series from a wildlife documentary legend!
